We raised £3,500 for The Isabel Baker Foundation

Our team of insurance specialists recently raised £3,500 for our new charity of the year, The Isabel Baker Foundation.

The charity was founded in 2015 after the founder, Vicky Turner, sadly lost her daughter Isabel to Infantile Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia; she wanted to set up a charity in Isabel’s name that brought comfort to others. The charity financially assists families in the months following the loss of their child, whilst also raising awareness of childhood cancer.

The Isabel Baker Foundation also supports Bloodwise, the UK’s specialist blood cancer charity, as Vicky Turner states that it is important to support cancer research as it will find kinder treatments and cures for children in the future. We are honoured that our fundraising efforts at Alan and Thomas will help two amazing British charities.

With offices in Poole, Gillingham, Dorchester, Frome and Basingstoke, we are focused on giving back to charities and the community, and providing outstanding charity insurance for organisations and non-profit groups.

We have raised over £17,000 in the past four years for our previous charities, Mosaic, Gully’s Place Trust Fund and the Wessex Cancer Trust, with the help of our internal charity committee who organise our fundraising activities and events throughout the year. Team fundraising activities like ‘Bake off’ contributed to our final amount of donation to The Isabel Baker Foundation while providing some showstoppers for our team.
